Cummins In Coldplay Concert When Pakistan Thrashed Australia. Media Reacts

https://ift.tt/pm84LC5 Pakistan sprang a major surprise in the ODI series against Australia as the Mohammad Rizwan-led side won the contest. Pakistan have not been in great from of late but against Australia, they stepped up. The Australian team not only surrendered an ODI series to Pakistan at home for the first time in 22 years after an eight-wicket loss to the Asian side in third ODI at Perth, but also registered an unfortunate record of not registering any half-century by a batter throughout a bilateral series for the first time ever. Many top players of Australia were not part of the series as they were given a break ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 22. While Australia were getting hammered in Perth, Australia's regular captain Pat Cummins , who was not picked for the Pakistan ODI series was attending a Coldplay concert in Sydney.  Pat Cummins' wife Becky shared the duo photo on her Instagram story with the caption: "Excitement levels are hig

Urgent Measures Needed To Reduce Trade Imbalances With Russia: S Jaishankar

https://ift.tt/KHnqOa8 External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday called for "urgent" measures to address the issue of widening trade deficit between India and Russia. While India's exports to Russia stood at only USD 2.24 billion in April-August this fiscal, imports soared to USD 27.35 billion during the period. The trade deficit is aggregated at USD 25.11 billion. The high trade deficit is mainly on account crude imports. Addressing the India-Russia Business Forum here, S Jaishankar also pitched for removal of non-tariff barriers and regulatory impediments to help improve the trade balance with Russia. "The balance of trade needs urgent redressal since it is so one-sided. It i

Trump held the call from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Thursday, just days after his stunning election victory over Democratic rival Kamala Harris, the report said. The president-elect's representatives did not immediately respond when asked by AFP for comment. "Unknown To Any Civilised System": Supreme Court On 'Bulldozer Justice'

https://ift.tt/z9ykeG6 The full text of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud's recent judgment on illegal demolitions in Uttar Pradesh mentions "justice through bulldozers is unknown to any civilised system of jurisprudence." The Supreme Court on Wednesday had pulled up the UP government for an "illegal" demolition in 2019 while issuing directions to all states and Union Territories (UT) on the procedure to be followed during road-widening and removal of encroachments. A bench of Chief Justice Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra had also directed the UP government to pay Rs 25 lakh compensation to the man whose house was razed in 2019 for a road-widening project.
